Resolved Question: Will the Florida Marlins make it to the postseason in '09?

How do you mean improve? As in having one of the best rotations with Nolasco, Johnson, and Volstad? Or perhaps increasing they're payroll which they've done? Or maybe you mean having the 9th best 2nd baseman in the MLB (Uggla)? Or maybe you mean having the best SS in the NL (Ramirez)? I highly suggest that before any of you answer my question, you should actually look up some information and actually provide some insight, instead of answering with a "NO". The Marlins contended all season up until the final week with a 22 million payroll. They are increasing their payroll next season to about 35-40 million. ESPN has already reported that they will have one of the best rotations next season and I'm sure all of the NL already knows about our offense. The only real improvements I think they need is defense and lowering their K's. I have to disagree Ben G. I don't understand why you fail to acknowledge the Marlins will ALSO improve during the offseason. You simply listed what the Mets will do to improve during the offseason while completely disregarding the Marlins. Thats foolish and close-minded.
